I strongly suspect an imPort was involved- and there's some reason to think Lucifer might have had a hand in it, but I can't prove it.

The testimony of the deceased. I know Lucifer can teleport, and one of the victims said they recognized one of the men that attacked them but didn't know him- they thought they might have seen him on television.

Not nearly enough to convict him, obviously, but enough to cast suspicion.

Can you speak to them again, or is it too late? We could always just show them a picture.

I can try. I'll talk to someone in the police force about the right way to do it- I don't want to leave any loopholes.

I can't imagine the existing laws are written to account for the possibility of the dead testifying as to their own murder.

It could be a clever illusion. They'd have to come up with something only they would've known in life.
